WHEN DO YOU PLAY AND TRAIN?

Our season commences late March with a match every second Sunday from 1pm (the location does change). We training every Wednesday night from 7pm at Stirling Oval, Teesdale Close, Stirling. Over Summer we play a non-contact form of the game; 6pm on Wednesdays and 9am on Sundays.

ARE YOU AFFILIATED WITH THE AFL AT A NATIONAL LEVEL?

Yes. Our ACT Club, combined with NSW, is affiliated with AFL Masters Australian Football (AFLM) at the national level. Check out the official AFL Masters website here.

DO YOU HAVE A CODE OF CONDUCT?

Yes. Our ACT Club recognises the National AFL Masters' Code of Conduct, which can be viewed here.

DO I HAVE TO REGISTER WITH YOUR CLUB TO PLAY?

Yes. You MUST register with our Club prior to playing. You're welcome to come and have a couple of runs at training or to view a match, but for insurance purposes, a player MUST be registered - it protects everyone!

DOES THE CLUB PLAY IN A LEAGUE?

Not as such. Our season generally consists of playing intra-club matches and other games against teams from Sydney, the Hunter Region, Illawarra and the South Coast. We also traditionally play a 3 match series against the Australian Defence College, Weston Creek.

CAN I PLAY IN THE ANNUAL NATIONAL CARNIVAL?

Of course!  The big annual event for AFLM is the National Carnival which is rotated among various State venues - the last week in September. In 2023, we head to the Sunshine Coast, QLD. The national carnival is an age-based competition.

BUT WAIT, IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME SINCE I LAST PLAYED COMPETITIVE FOOTY!

That's ok, we welcome all masters players, regardless of how long it's been since you last pulled on the boots! Our Club's focus on fitness and fun, so come out on the track for a run.
